my favorite place on earth xx

Ive never really been able to explain the “aloha spirit” but today, the story of how I received this flower is the perfect example of aloha. I left my car back a bit on the side of the road because I was a little freaked out by the flooded roads and my cars life haha. I walked into the neighborhood and this little ol’ lady was sweeping her drive way. I smiled at her and she smiled back asking if I was going to get pictures, I told her I couldnt pass up the chance. While I was walking back she said something to me but I couldnt hear her over the rushing water, so I smiled and asked her what? She repeated herself but again I couldnt hear her, so I started to walk towards her. She put her finger up, smiled, and picked this flower off her bush and handed it to me. She said would you like this flower? If only you could smell this through the computer. THIS is aloha, a small act of kindness with nothing in return but just to be nice. People don’t realize how such a small act can make sure a huge impact on a person. Her kindness touched me today, and made my day infinitely brighter xx thank you to the little lady sweeping her drive way in the rain. i love my flower.

beautiful day in hawaii nei today xx sometimes things are stressful trying to make it out here but then we have days like today and i gain clarity. we have no college debt, we’re not scraping pennies by any means, we’re healthy, we have a roof over our heads, and food in our bellies.
